Okay, I'm going to write highlights about this episode. Sorta spoilerish so here's a bunch of stars to let you get out in case you don't really want to read about what was aired.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 816 - TOW Joey Tells Rachel
This is the first episode after the Olympics. Sooo, it was appropriate and necessary to show the end of 815 where Ross is about to leave Central Perk after thinking he has helped Joey with good advice by confronting the "guy" about the girl that Joey "likes." Ross is just about to leave when Joey blurts out, "It's Rachel." Ross freezes. It's like he can't believe what he is hearing, turns to face Joey and says, "I'm sorry, did you say Rachel?"
Joey: (faces Ross) yes Ross: (still calm) You like Rachel? Joey: Yes, I like Rachel. Ross: (Getting a little upset and raises his voice): Rachel? Rachel!!!?
Anyway, the exchange continues that Joey feels very bad and tries to calm Ross down, and Ross is surprised, angry, shocked, then leaves. Meanwhile, Joey feels really bad, turns around and faces Gunther face-to-face. Gunther yells at Joey, "Rachel!!!!"
Meanwhile, Phoebe meets Monica's "soulmate"...and she tells Rachel and Chandler. Phoebe and Rachel talk about Monica's soulmate as if Chandler is invisible. (And Chandler reinforces that and says some very funny lines here as well in this whole episode). However, a line that haunted me after I watched this episode, "Isn't it sad that soulmates never meet..." (Later...why this struck a nerve with me.)
Monica goes to Ross and convinces Ross to talk things over with Joey because Joey feels so bad that he wants to move. "Joey wants to move to Vermont..." says Monica. "Vermont?" says Ross, "Why Vermont?" Monica then says, "Because he wants to move out of the country."
Anyway, Ross goes to see Joey...(this part needs to be watched rather than read because the funny part in this are the facial expressions, not the script.) After much talking, then, Ross convinces Joey to tell Rachel. Joey has no idea what to say. He goes to Ross/Rachels apartment, and tries to plan what to say, just as he had the nerve to knock, then Rachel opens the door and is about to go to work. A hasty exchange, Joey asks Rachel to dinner. Rachel says, "Sure" and now Joey has more time to figure out what to say to her.
Meanwhile back with Monica/Chandler/Phoebe...Monica & Chandler have already been at Central Perk for awhile when in walks Phoebe with her new boyfriend (Monica's soulmate). And...Phoebe was right Monica gets along with the guy great! Much to the dismay of Chandler. Later back at the apartment, Monica suggests that they invite Phoebe & her new boyfriend...which starts Chandler into sarcasm. (Funny lines). They make up, Monica saying that they (meaning Chandler/Monica) maybe are not "soulmates", they have to work on their relationship. And meaning that they were meant to be with each other.
Joey/Rachel are having dinner. And before they could really talk, they are interrupted by the waiter. Anyway, when they are finally alone...Joey nervously says, "I think I'm falling in love with you." Rachel says, "What?" Joey repeats what he said. Rachel looks at him, thinks, then she slowly turns around, then says, "Are you talking to me?" Joey expresses a "yes". Rachel says..."Oh, I get it, it's a joke..." she starts to laugh, then she looks at Joey, "But I don't get it..." Joey expresses that he really is in love with her. Rachel is speechless...later after some quiet, Rachel says, "Joey, I love you...but..." Joey says, "I know...It's kinda what I've been expecting so...I'll just leave..." Rachel starts to cry, "Joey don't leave like this...don't do this to a pregnant woman..." Joey says, "Aww Rachel don't...you'll start me too...oh..." And he starts feeling really bad and sits down. Rachel says, "Can I just...I don't want to lose..." And Joey says, "Yeah"...and they have a hug. Joey then says, "It was a joke, you know?" Rachel says, "Yeah, good one..." And they are in a hug that lasts a long time...so long that the place they were going to have dinner at is close to closing. * * * There's a lot more to this episode. I edited this a lot. And the scripts will not tell you what the facial expressions do. I'm so confused about this whole situation. I was laughing and crying at the same time! Anyway, whether it was planned or not, it gave me the impression that Joey is Rachel's soulmate...they understand each other without talking...and isn't it sad that they didn't know...and maybe now it's too late...
If you have any views about this episode, once you see it, feel free to write in.

Oh Kay, NBC hasn't posted detailed information about this episode yet, but, here's the new name:
816 - TOW Joey Tells Rachel
(And the new name is updated on TOW The Season 8 episodes in order. A little bit concerned why the "name" change, but, maybe there's too much speculation everywhere about what these episodes are that they're letting everybody that uses the net know that they are the source?)

TOW The Mega Highlight Spoiler for: TOW The Tea Leaves This is Part 4 of 4. You need to go into the thread itself to read the Parts 1,2&3. (Sorry, but, I wanted to be a little more thorough in my highlights, and it won't fit in one reply because of the spoiler stars). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Synopsis of this show continued. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Monica are walking. Phoebe has selected a new dry cleaners because the "bad date" has been at the same places she has been. So, to avoid him, she has to choose all different places for everything. She is upset that her tea leaves reading was very wrong! Monica reassures Phoebe and listens to everything that happened. When they get to the dry cleaners, Monica becomes distracted with the dry cleaner place because everything is so clean. Phoebe drops one of her pieces of clothing that she was having dry cleaned, when a guy picks it up. This "zesty guy" and Phoebe hit it off, instantly! (I'm sure we'll see more of this guy). Elsewhere: Rachel learns from her meeting that her boss is apologizing that he gave Rachel the impression that he wanted to buy her baby. When she goes to Monica & Chandler's apartment, Joey & Chandler listen to what happened at the meeting with her boss. After finding out that Rachel will get an extra month of maternity leave for this "misunderstanding", Chandler says, "I guess Ralph Lauren really wants people to know they are not in the baby buying business." Rachel asks Chandler to leave so she could talk to Joey. Rachel & Joey start talking and reminising how that this was sooo good that it was like old times. However, then the conversation turned so Joey started remembering why he wasn't talking to Rachel in the first place. That awkward feelings of rejection and pain started surfacing. And the silence was appearing....then Rachel blurts out suddenly that her gynocologist is trying to kill her! Joey becomes very concerned. (End credits roll) Little teaser at the end: Ross is ordering another "faded" salmon shirt, anyway you're lead to believe that because he is on the phone and the color he asks for is "wildberry". A knock at his door...it's Mona. Mona says she knows why Ross was at her place. Stunned. Ross waits to hear what she might say. She says it's because he has feelings for her, she knows that because she has feelings for him too. But, they have gotto get over that. Things are wayyyy too complicated. Ross very relieved pretends that was the reason he was there. Mona then asks if she could have his "faded" salmon shirt as a reminder of him. She picks it up from a chair that it happened to be on. Ross, does his Ross expressions, goes over to Mona. Then, grabs the shirt away from her and tells her no! That's all. And, the dialog (in quote signs) may not be exact because I'm doing this from my notes. Also, any corrections, I'll be happy to fix. I won't be offended. And, thanks for reading.

TOW The Mega Highlight Spoiler for: TOW The Tea Leaves This is Part 3 of 4. You need to go into the thread itself to read the Parts 1&2. (Sorry, but, I wanted to be a little more thorough in my highlights, and it won't fit in one reply because of the spoiler stars). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Synopsis of this show continued. Meanwhile, Phoebe meets Jim Nelson (the guy at Central Perk), they make a date for dinner. When they both are at the table, they decide to talk and get acquainted. At first, it sounds cool, but, as Phoebe asks simple questions to him, she realizes that he is soooo not the guy that she was thinking he would be. She gives him a second chance, but, he fails the test so Phoebe leaves. (And yeah, she has very good reasons to leave!)
Elsewhere at Monica & Chandler's apartment. Rachel, Monica and Chandler are reorganizing cds in their correct cases. Chandler is singing a song from Annie and really getting into the song. Monica & Rachel try not to laugh. Chandler, suddenly realizes that he was being watched, and suddenly deepens his voice to sing the next line of the song. Then Joey walks in.
Rachel smiles and thanks Joey for his help by listening to her problems. Joey reassures Rachel that that guy is not going to be bothering her again. Rachel instantly becomes alarmed and asks for more details and is shocked to find out that Joey has told her boss, "You don't go buying people's babies! So, back off!!!!" Joey is pleased that he has rescued Rachel from the "horrible" boss. Rachel then confesses that she lied to him about the whole story. Monica & Chandler are shocked to hear what the "story" was in the first place. Rachel is soooo upset, she fears she's going to be fired. What should she do. Chandler says, "Well, I guess you could find someone to buy your baby."
Joey is upset that Rachel lied to him, why would she do that? Rachel points at Monica and says, "She told me to!" Monica, speechless at first, blurts out, "Chandler's got two copies of Annie!"
Meanwhile: Ross & his quest for his fave shirt is stalled because Mona is making out with a guy that is wearing the shirt that he wants. Bored, Ross is "hiding" (lying on the floor in back of Mona's couch) looking through one of Mona's catalogs waiting for the moment so he could retrieve his shirt. Things get heated with Mona and her "date", the shirt Ross wants gets thrown to the floor and is on a rug. Ross starts trying to pull on the rug towards him. But, he gets a little too eager and yanks it. Mona notices the sudden movement. And screams, "Oh my god!" She looks at where the movement came from, a sheepish Ross with his fave shirt in his hands exclaims, "Oh! Hello!" And, it's left to your imagination how all of this is resolved.
Meanwhile: Rachel has been called into her boss' office. When she walks in, she sees her boss. He tells her that he has asked, Lee from Human Resources, to sit in our their conversation as a witness. Rachel sits back and waits for the news.

TOW The Mega Highlight Spoiler for: TOW The Tea Leaves This is Part 2 of 4. You need to go into the thread itself to read the Part 1. (Sorry, but, I wanted to be a little more thorough in my highlights, and it won't fit in one reply because of the spoiler stars). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Synopsis of this show continued. After the awkward silence, the scene is Rachel at Chandler and Monica's. Rachel is upset that they (meaning Rachel & Joey) can't even be with each other. She says that to Chandler, who replies, "I'm not good at the advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment...or....cheese?" Rachel looks at him.
Meanwhile Monica discovers that Chandler has put all the cds in the wrong cases. Chandler's method of putting away a cd is to find the first case without a cd in it and put it in there. With 200 (or more) cds in the wrong cases, they have alot of sorting to do. They (Chandler & Monica) are almost into discussing this when Rachel blurts out that they have "Sooooo many problems..." Monica then advises that Rachel should think of a problem that Joey can help her with, that way, then they'll have something to talk about. Rachel thinks she can do this. And...so...then Joey walks in.
Monica gives a "hint" to Rachel that maybe Joey can help her with her problems. To which, Rachel says, "hunh?". Monica then further hints, about that it's a "work related" problem and that Joey could help her because she can't...and since it's close to dinner time, they (Chandler & Monica) have to leave. Chandler & Monica leave and Joey & Rachel are left alone.
Joey asks what the problem is. Rachel cannot think of an answer fast enough, and says that it's nothing, but then Joey decides that he's going to leave; so quickly, Rachel comes up with a story that it's about her boss. Joey asks her to continue. Rachel says it's about her boss and her baby. Joey is very interested. So...not being about to think of anything, Rachel blurts out, "My boss wants to buy my baby!"
Joey is very upset about that. And they talk things over. And Rachel's story becomes more made-up and (funny, sorry, it's not funny, but, well, you know because you can tell that she never lies and because she doesn't lie, her story doesn't sound convincing at all) she says that her boss got drunk and wanted to buy her baby. Joey says, "When I heard that it was a problem with your boss and your baby, I thought it was about maternity leave or something."
Rachel ponders (looking like she wishes that she had said that), "Oh yeah......that would have been a much simpler problem..."
Meanwhile: Ross is on the quest for his fave "faded" salmon shirt. He goes to Mona's. She is not there. So he takes her hidden key and goes into Mona's apartment. No sooner is he in there, but, he hears Mona's voice talking outside of the door. He "hides". Mona has a date with her. She mentions that she is sorry that she had spilled wine on his shirt but, she has one that he can wear while she cleans that one...which is the "faded" salmon shirt. Ross' facial expressions about this, well you can just guess.
Meanwhile: Rachel is very excited about her & Joey being able to communicate once again! She is absolutely thrilled. And tells Monica & Chandler how well the plan worked. Chandler asks what the story was that she told Joey. Rachel shrugs it off saying, "It's not important..."
Elsewhere: Joey is at Rachel's boss' office. Joey is not a happy person. Rachel's boss is in the middle of a meeting, when Joey looks very sternly at Rachel's Boss and says, "You think you can just buy my friend's baby??!!!!"
To be continued....

TOW The Mega Highlight Spoiler for: TOW The Tea Leaves * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Synopsis of this show. It starts with Rachel going to Joey's and knocking on the door. Rachel calls out to Joey, however, Joey is at Monica's and Chandlers. Joey hears Rachel and tells Monica and Chandler to not let Rachel know he is there. He leaves and hides in another room. Meanwhile Rachel does come into Monica & Chandler's . Apparently they haven't been talking at all and Rachel misses Joey.
She spots a bagel on the floor and asks what it is doing on the floor. (It's Joey's). Monica & Chandler can't reply fast enough. Rachel comes up with why it was there. Monica blurts out that, "Sure that's the reason..." (Although Chandler's face, really funny expression). Rachel leaves telling them that if they see Joey, please, she would like to see him. Joey comes out and Monica and Chandler both try to convince Joey to see her. Joey thinks about it. (Funny Chandler lines are here & throughout the show).
Later: Monica, Chandler, Rachel, and Phoebe are in Central Perk. Phoebe decides to read everyones tea leaves. When she comes to her own she says that she will meet a guy really soon and it will be the man of her dreams. Looking around at Central Perk, (after there are conversations of what the other tea leaves mean), she sees a guy who she thinks might be "the guy".
Ross comes in looking for his "faded" salmon shirt. Monica blurts out, "Oh you mean your pink shirt?" Ross continues claiming it is a "faded" salmon shirt and it's his fave. When no one says they have it, he figures out it's at Mona's. He loves that shirt so much, he has to go back and get it.
Next Joey comes into Central Perk. And the silence...it is very awkward and all the expressions show that. Rachel and Joey talk, but, it's just "Hi"s and nothing more.
