I like both the covers too. And if TV Guide decides to have them on as a cover, I'll post it up. The pics for TV Guide usually are good. What do I think of the WB? I think it has great people on it, seriously. However, I think that the WB Board...the configuration of the board--not the people...isn't very user friendly. And people really don't have hours to spend looking for information. So, in a way, I think it's a little disappointing for a "friends" fanatic to try to get imput on a board that doesn't have an admin or a mod and it's a little "wild". And, I'm sure a lot of WB-ers visit here. It gets soooo jammed that I can't log on. That's a good sign. And everybody at any age or profession are welcome here. I never know who is here. But, I'm very happy to post up threads that are accurate, with pictures of celebrities at their best, and typing friendly stuff. I do post at the WB on occasion, you noticed that, right? And usually it's on the wayyyy off-topic stuff. Really, you don't need to apologize about not replying. I'm not that type of person, I really am "breezy" about everything. So, it's cool. Religion is such a personal thing, (a read only, not post on type of topic for me)...which is why I haven't posted on it again. And, I'll continue looking for more xf pics.

These are very old TV Guide Covers...I wonder if a new cover of them will be printed. Anyway, which is the better cover? OR

Those are great ideas. Hopefully, Chris Carter might take that into consideration. I'm really excited to see the finales because of David Duchovny (Fox Mulder), and if I read it correctly, he will also direct as well as imput some ideas for the finale? Anyway, yay for the X-files --- David Duchovny is bringing Spooky Mulder back. David Duchovny (Fox "Spooky" Mulder)

I know exactly what you mean about that. However, I'm wondering if the writing for this season was an attempt to wrap up the story lines because they were not sure if there was going to be a season 9. (Friends). And, you're right, now that there is a season 9, then there might be some "fillers" or "conflicts" so R&R will have trouble getting together. So, I guess we wait and see. However, with the X-files, I'm wondering about the finale. Chris Carter seems to have given me the impression that he wants some of the stories left "open" for the opportunity for big screen movies. So, will Mulder/Scully be together in the end of this season? Kinda fun to think about this and I hope that they do get together.

Yay! A true x-phile would understand that picture. And here's the link to the pic. A very long story why I was in the Rolling Stone looking at pictures, but, I do enjoy the photographer's (Mark Seliger) composition. I would love to learn how to take pix like he does. He caught the emotion that everybody thinks about between the Scully/Mulder characters. www.rollingstone.com/mv_photos/bigphoto.asp?gid=4281&s=1&e=9&seq=4&cf=78245&bc=Anyway, I thought about entering the "screen name" contest. But, haven't yet. And am excited to see the finale. Yay...and I do like Mulder/Scully together.

I kept hoping that you would come back because I found that site after you left on "holiday"? Anyway, I can't tell if it's the official site, but, it's a very informative place. I haven't looked through it completely, but, does it have pix? And is this one there? Gillian Anderson (Scully), David Duchovny (Mulder)
(edited: And I hope that I spelled Gillian & David's names correctly)

This is a good news/bad news deal I know, but, it looks like Mulder may be back: (And the Bad News...the series is ending on TV!)
Here's the latest (feel free to add if you know more):
Duchovny Reopens 'X-Files' (Katrillion) -- Mulder fans will get to see their favorite FBI agent before their beloved "X-Files" goes off the air.
"X-Files" creator Chris Carter told the New York Post that he spoke with David Duchovny after he chose to cancel the show on Wednesday night. He explained that David has agreed to return, despite last year's legal disputes with Carter that led to the actor's eventual departure from the show.
Carter said that Duchovny will return in time for the series finale, which will tie up several loose ends, but not all of them. A few of the unanswered questions will be carried over to future "X-Files" movies.

Sorry...this looks like the end of the X-Files: Read On:
"X-Files" Gets X-ed Out by Mark Armstrong Jan 17, 2002, 10:00 AM PT
The truth is out there, and the truth hurts: After nine seasons of sniffing out conspiracies, Fox's The X-Files is packing it in at the end of this season.
Creator Chris Carter told reporters Wednesday that it was time for the long-running series to end, and the finale will air in May.
"It's the ninth inning. We wanted to go out on top," he told Daily Variety. "We wanted to go out as a strong show."
Strong, of course, is all relative: The series has tumbled in the ratings this season, with fans grousing that recent episodes aren't living up to the days of David Duchovny. The X-Files has averaged 8.7 million viewers in its Sunday timeslot, and with costs reaching $4 million per episode, there had already been talk that 20th Century Fox Television was going to end the show's run this year.
Both Carter and star Gillian Anderson have previously voiced their exhaustion with the series, with the actress saying last summer that this would be her last season as Dana Scully so she can focus on being a mom and pursue other projects (she's already adapting the novel Speed of Light for her directorial debut).
Carter, meanwhile, said he wants to end the series with a proper farewell, including a clip show and--for the love of all things holy--some answers.
"I want to be able to wrap things up for the fans who have been there from the beginning and throughout," he told the Hollywood Reporter. "My determination was to go out with a series of very, very strong episodes that are going to pull a lot of threads together from the last nine years."
One thread not yet tied together is whether Duchovny will return for any of the final episodes. Carter said he wanted to enlist Duchovny, but the subject has not yet been discussed.
Since its September 1993 debut, The X-Files went from quirky cult fave to pop-culture phenomenon, turning Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) into sci-fi icons. The series also earned an Emmy nomination for Best Drama Series in 1996 and scored Anderson a Best Actress trophy in 1997.
In 2000, Duchovny gradually bowed out of the series to work on a film career, and Carter brought aboard several new cast members to join Anderson, including Robert Patrick, Annabeth Gish and Cary Elwes.
Despite Wednesday's announcement, this probably won't be the last we see of Scully and company. Carter has previously indicated plans to make a sequel to the 1998 big-screen version of The X-Files, starring Anderson and Duchovny.

Ohhhh...I can see where I sounded off on that. What I meant was that I'm sooo use to this being all "Mulder's" thing and that Scully was always the skeptic. Sooo, when you get Mulder out of the picture, does that mean that Scully is now the one interested in something that she was skeptical about?
Anyway, next post, latest news on this series.
(Annnd, I must be tired, re-editting this because of word misspelled).

Any time I don't make sense on the messageboard, please feel free to ask what I mean. Questions are always good. It's very hard for me to watch X-files without David Duchovny. (It would be like changing any of the f*r*i*e*n*d*s characters with a new actor/actress.) I often wonder if later on David would have a change of heart and later do an X-File show later on? I suppose we all just wait and see...

In the USA they have some of the characters from a TV series have their own show. That's called a "spin-off". The three computer "nerds" that Mulder used often were on a series of their own called, "The Lone Gunmen" (I think that's what it was called). And the network agreed to "try it out" for a couple of shows, and I think that it disappeared into an X-file of it's own because I haven't seen/heard about it.
Anyway, that's about all I know. Sorry if I confused everybody by listing that. However, you never know if by chance it does go somewhere outside of the USA.

Oh yeah, that show. I use to love that show. And you're sooo right about the thing about Mulder. It just really isn't the same anymore. It's like the whole reason for the X-files is gone because it was all Mulder's "thing".
Anyway, I liked the spinoff show too, but, it (unfortunately) isn't around...or I can't find it...I think it was called, The Lone Gunmen? Or something like that. Did you ever see it? And, sorry I took ever so long to write back on this, but, it took me that long to figure out what the spinoff title was. And, I'm not even sure if I got it right. Did I?

Oh, but, all the films seem very good. I'm clue-less as to how they do that. I wouldn't know which one to pick if I were a member of the committees. (That's for any of the committees, I wouldn't even know which one to nominate for the top 5 contenders).
And we wait and see. Hopefully, there will be some pics for this award show? And if any of our "friends" are there, we'll definitely have some pics? Well, I guess we'll see.

I was looking at all the "awards" sites and agreed that the reason this is a difficult decision is that each movie are in different genres. It couldn't be possible that they could all win, however, they should because they are different from each other. Anyway, we'll have to wait and see about who will really win. (And, it's sooner than we think).
