i meant that i dont like the movies hanks makes; since i dont have my coffee with him i can only judge what he is like by the movies he endorses; and they are what establishment is made of; god! just think about the fact that his career was jumpstarted by his role as a homosexual and once he snagged that oscar he has not played ONE role even remotely as controversial as that; in fact if you look up "controversial" in the dictionary it will say there "the thing furthermost from hanks' post-first-oscar roles"; i dont think the people behind friends would agree with all that so i dont think from their perspective the shows is an "establishment-kiss-ass-free-zone" but i would like to think of it in that way...

hanks cant guest on friends coz the show is a establishment-kiss-ass-free zone; but fox could do something for the show if his part is well written

ok, so iam repeating myself; you might have read this on the WB boards but no one responded there and i really would like to get some feedback on this;
ever since i saw the TO that could have been i cant get this idea out of my head that i think is thoroughly [glow=red,2,300]BRILLIANT[/glow]! people are saying that the writers are stuck for new storylines blahblah so i say make a spinoff OFF TO that could have been!!!!!! it would totally[glow=red,2,300]KILL[/glow], i tell ya!!!! imagine another eight seasons with chandler as a writer, fat monica, joey daytime superstar, etc!!!! also imagine the endless possibilities for references to the "original" series that the writers would have!

you say that those other shows have outstanding actors too which means that you consider the friends actors to be outstanding; well if BOTH are outstanding dont you think it is a little suspicious that the friends NEVER get any awards? why dont we have friends winning everything and when the fans of other shows complain tell them that the friends are really good actors and not vice versa as is the situation now; i dont REALLY care about awards; but i HATE lying; if the people running the emmies and the GGs came out and said "Hey, we HATE friends, ok? we are NOT going to give them any awards like EVER!" that would be totally cool with me coz they would be telling the truth; but instead they pretend (i.e. lie) that the artistic merits of the nominated shows are "judged" impartially; that's what gets to me; it's like "ooh everything is so OBJECTIVE but friends is NEVER good enough"; never in nine years!
BTW you may have noticed that i posted the same topic on the WB boards (like a usually do) but when i looked for it i couldnt find it; what is THAT about?

you dont think they hate the show? come on! nine years (yes, iam including next seaosn as well) in a row they TOTALLY spurn friends at ALL awards not decided by the viewers! ok, once, twice, thrice: coincidental! but NINE!!! years! that is one unabashedly biased attitude, i say!
and here is why they hate the show: because friends is hugely popular globally, because the actors are young and beautiful (well they WERE young for most of the show's run; they were definitely young in th ebest seasons of the show when it should have won awards; and even in 2002 they are still strikingly appealing) and because they are as many as six and the establishment cant control any of that; in fact it is quite easy to determine the reasons for the nine-year friends backlash: take all the shows that won the awards instead of friends and see what it is the differentiates them from friends; ok, iam a bit lazy and will not go to all the trouble of visiting the websites of the various awards to get the names of all the shows that beat friends to all the awards in the past eight years; i think it would be correct to say that in 99% of the cases when friends did not win an award that award was won by one of the following shows: seinfeld, frasier, will&grace (W&G), everybody loves f**king raymond (ELFR) and sex and the city (S&TC); so let's break this down: messing and mccormack are definitely young and appealing but their show is nowhere nearly as successful as friends on a global scale; plus if you recognize that a show is good you will HAVE to ultimately recognize the stars and in W&G's case there is only two of them and they by now each have either an emmy or a GG or something; the cast of S&TC could also be considered appealing but again their show does not have friends-calibre global appeal which makes it more eligible for an award; the cast-size situation here is similar to W&G: although the main protagonists are four SJP is CLEARLY the lead whereas with friends we have six leads; hence she already has a pile of awards; these two were the tricky ones; in the cases of seinfeld, frasier and ELFR the picture is much clearer: are we going to recognize the funny young and beautiful people or are we going to award the mid-life crisis set? the facts speak for themselves;
so as you can see the formula for an award-winning show is that it must not have young and beautiful stars or if it does they shouldnt be more than 2 or 3; and if all the stars are young and beautiful and they are SIX no less and the show is probably the most watched sitcom globally it is so totally skrewed awards-wise

you already know what iam going to say;
in the spinoff i want: chandler as a writer and fat Monica's on-again-off-again lover; joey as chandler's employer, a daytime superstar and married rachel's on-again-off-again lover; now HE has the money and will support the reluctant chandler; but what could ross and phoebe do differently?

i dont know what the problem is; all three software programs that i mentioned installed ok but the registering process could not be completed for some reason; so the program did not connect; and it has to be connected (as you know since you have used) to perform any searches and whatnot...

thanks; yes, i know about kazaa; i have already downloaded morpheus, glokster and winMX and NONE of them could get started on my computer; so i figured i shouldnt bother with kazaa since it uses basically the same principle and it would only mean more PC rage
