I was just in Greece less than a month ago and they already have seasons 8 & 9 available. Of course the price is outrageous ($120 a season) and the DVDs are not compatible with US DVD players (or so I'm told). Does anyone have any idea when season 8 is going to be available (and Mr. Warner Bros., we're talking about the US release!). Usually you can pre-order a season after the previous season is on sale but I keep checking Amazon.com and it's not there.

well guys i was just looking and i heard that they would be out on these dates(in the us)
season 8- nov. 2 2004
season 9- jan.14 2004
season 10- march.15 2004
well these are the dates that i found if you find anything different please let me know!!!!

hey whats up..just to let all you supposedly "fans" know..there are not 10 seasons of friends..there are only 9 seasons within 10 years..unless you guys include the season finale as a season..anyways...i too am looking for friends season 8..anyways..i was gonna ask..the friends season from uk doesnt work on USA dvd players...??...please someone find out the date..and dont just make one up..how can we go from jun 30..to november 30?..someone is obviously talkin outa there ass...Come on people!!!)(big fan of friends....and jennifer aniston..is frickin hot!!)

well, all that i know is that ive bought every season the first or second day theyve been released. they normally come out every 3months which would put it like this....
8th season july
9th october
10th january, 2005
i havent heard anything about the specific release date but this is just what normally happens.
and on the end of season 7 it says look for season 8 in stores in early july 2004!!!

8-) 8-)i dont see how thats possible..ive asked several of my friends fans and they all say the same thing..that there are only 9 season....and on the friends trivia game..that you can buy from your local walmart...one of the questions on there were "how many seasons of friends were there?"..and the answer on the back says 9 seasons...then in perenthesis..it says that there are 9 seasons within 10 years...so i mean i was going from what the card said..and what my other freinds say...so i guess i dont really know..cuz i havent seen the 10th season..but ok.. 8-) 8-)

Hello, I am definatly going to have to agree with Jill on the seasons. There is definatly 10 seasons because on TV it even said 10 seasons, and I watched Opra and they said 10 SEASONS not YEARS. And if you think about what she said about the seasons about how at the end of the 8th Rachel has her baby, 9th Joey and Rachel kiss and the 10th was the big finale. Are you really that dumb.....?? ;D |

hey yeah there is definatly 10 seasons because i remeber watching the 10th on tv for sure...and sorry but that makes more sense(i understand where you're comin from)
well ill i know about the release is taht the 8th is supposed to come out in nov so far from what i've hear......but it does say on the 7th to look for 8th in early july..but it obviosly not early july so as of right now who knows but if anyone eles has information let me know...

Well, Nov 30 makes sense to me, even though it's a heck of a long time to wait to release it, but that is a prime time for selling stuff, cause it's right before Christmas. I'm thinking they are looking to make as much money off of these last 3 season as possible since after this it'll be done. So it sucks that we have to wait clear until Christmas time to see the 8th season. >_<

I have looked and looked and looked just about every day to see if there is any new information when the 8th season will be out. As I said before, I saw on another website that it will be out on Nov 30, which makes sense since dvds are released on tuesdays and that is a tuesday. Also, like someone else said, it is right before christmas and they want to make as much money as possible. Honestly, I think that we can kiss July goodbye cause I dont think it will be coming out this month. If I am wrong, that is fine, but I really don't think that I am. And by the way, there are 10 seasons, not 9.  ;D |

I am very glad everyone cleared up the whole "How many seasons are there," thing. We're supposed to be fans at this site, right? I do hope Season 8 will be out soon, because I am going to have to start taping UPN from 7-8 soon. Also, what about 9 TEXT 10. How can they show them so long ago, and keep the collections to themselves.
