At the Grammy Awards, it was announced, "...'Serving Sara' star, Matthew Perry..."
Sooo, here's some information about "Serving Sara"...
Movie will be released: Summer 2002
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for crude humor, sexual content, and language
Distributor: Paramount Pictures
Production Company: Mandalay Pictures
The film stars: Elizabeth Hurley, Matthew Perry, Bruce Campbell, and Vincent Pastore.
Servicing Sara is a comedy about divorce, process serving, and sweet revenge. Joe Tyler (Perry) is a glib, jaded ex-lawyer turned process server whose co-worker Tony has used dirty tricks to rob Joe of his best "marks". With his job now in jeopardy, Joe decides to cheat Tony out of their agency's next plum assignment: serving divorce papers to millionaire businesswoman Sara Moore (Hurley). Sara runs a prosperous cattle ranch down in Texas with her husband Gordon. It turns out that Gordon is a skirt-chaser who dumps Sara for another woman and is out to swindle her out of her business. Texas apparently has very conservative divorce laws so if Gordon serves Sara his divorce papers first then he'll get a better deal; if Sara, who also resides in New York City, serves Gordon first then the divorce settlement would favor her because New York's laws are more liberal. Joe sets out to beat Tony to the punch by serving Sara divorce papers first, employing a variety of tricks to throw the dimwitted Tony off his trail. Once Joe serves Sara, though, his feelings begin to change.
Sara, however, soon proposes a deal to Joe: if he agrees to serve divorce papers on Gordon instead of her, she'll pay Joe a chunk of her hefty divorce settlement. Naturally, Joe accepts her offer and what ensues is a road comedy/game of cat-and-mouse as Joe and Sara travel to Texas to serve Gordon while Tony hunts after them. Joe and Sara also uncover some shady business dealings involving Gordon that only complicates matters further. And, obviously, romantic feelings slowly begin to emerge between the sarcastic Joe and the suddenly single Sara.
