E! already has a teletype that scrolls on the bottom of the television screen that says that there will be a 9th Season. Here's what Eonline's (E!'s website) news says: WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE...: NBC signing a deal Monday with Warner Bros. Television to bring back Friends for a ninth (and probably final) season. The six stars will get $1 million per episode, up from the $750,000 they previously received. (Pasted directly from eonline's site: www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,9513,00.html?tnews, Dated February 12, 2002) (Oh and their link in the above paragraph is already posted in our topic a million. And yeah, they also confirm what we have said all along about the Rachel's "dying" thing. But, we knew that it wasn't true. So, glad that they put that on their news too. So, thanks E!)

From People Magazine's Website (People.com): February 12, 2002 'Friends' Stay Friendly -- And Rich STEPHEN M. SILVERMAN The cast of NBC's "Friends" has signed for a ninth and final year, according to news reports. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer all will be paid $1 million per episode for next season's shows, New York's WNBC News reported, noting that with 24 episodes per season, it is easy to do the math. The deal, according to The New York Times, was concluded on Monday, with the principals being the actors and their representatives on one side, and NBC and Warner Bros. TV, which produces the top-rated Thursday night sitcom, on the other. (Warner TV, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner.) This season, each actor received $750,000 per episode. The Times reports that the one-year renewal for the comedy show will exceed the half-hour price that the network paid for the hour-long smash drama "ER" four years ago. Still, NBC Entertainment president Jeff Zucker told The Times on Monday, "This is a great day." In addition to the salary, the six show regulars will all continue to receive a portion of the show's syndication profits, a percentage they gained during their last contract negotiations, in 2000.
