822- TOW Rachel is Late USA Airdate: 09 May 02 * * ** * ** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * RACHEL'S PAIN AND NO GAIN MAKES HER DESPERATE FOR BABY'S DELIVERY -- When pregnant Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) delivery date passes, her ensuing pain makes her increasingly crotchety and ready to try anything that might get the baby moving. Meanwhile, a distracted Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) wager over the date of the birth, and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) can only take one guest -- Chandler (Matthew Perry) -- to the premiere of his new World War I film, but he declares war when the invited guest nods off during the screening.

Highlight Reality Check: Okay...this is one of those episodes that was really scary. When we watched what aired, I wondered when I could leave, and so did everybody else that was there watching it with me. 1) Basically, Rachel was very very bitchy to everybody. (Extremely hard for me to watch because of that because you know I don't enjoy that sort of thing, well, you know I don't, right?) Her baby did not come when the due date said she was suppose to have the baby, and basically, she was taking out her uncomfortable situation with everybody. ("This IS suppose to be a comedy, right?" "Is that suppose to be sarcasm, rather than the bitchy-screamer that appears to be coming across?" And yeah, that's the types of questions I was getting when we were watching this show). Anywayy, back to what happened in this storyline. No one was immune to Rachel's rantings. So, everybody kinda didn't want to be around her...(including this audience, however, we had to watch, right?) And...as per Doctor's advice, R&R tried all the remedies to make the baby come sooner...except the sex, because, well, you'd understand if you saw how bitchy she was. However, it got to the point that Ross decided that he would just go for it, started kissing her, and, then it looked like it was time for them to go to the hospital. Ross is good! Right? (Thank God!....) 2) Monica & Phoebe were guessing when the baby was coming. Monica, ever the optimist, kept thinking that day ("that day" kept going on for a days); while Phoebe, the karma-ist, didn't think so. Monica decided to make a bet on that. And so...that's how that went. And, of course, Pheebes knew the right time. 3) Joey decides to take Chandler to the opening premiere of his new movie. He could only take one guest, and he chose Chandler because Chandler did so much for him...career-wise...not what you were thinking...be nice now. However, other people weren't so nice (I guess they have similar minds as you all , and so the "gay" thing was mentioned a little, you know?) And yeah, Chandler sleeps through the premiere, Joey gets angry and decides to not "owe" Chandler anything and was going to write a check in the amount that Chandler did for him. However, after all the costs were calculated, Joey changes his mind...so, they're pals again. And...that picture, near the end of the show...just so you know. And yeah, you might think differently of this show than we did, when you see it...maybe you'll write in and say?
